The next few weeks have me traveling quite a bit. I have speaking engagements where the only thing each crowd has in common, is they are looking for clean comedy. (Click the “gigs” button on the side for more info). Friday, June 3rd, I will be speaking to the staff at the University of Wisconsin (Osh Kosh campus), Sunday, June 5th, St Luke Church in Decatur, Indiana and then June 8-15, we take a team of 43 people on our annual week-long mission trip to the Dominican Republic serving with New Missions.
I hope you’ll pray for us and please follow our blogs and photos that we post every day while in the D.R. www.missionpossibletrip.blogspot.com
Dave Rahn, my good friend and big wig at the National Office of Youth For Christ, and myself have been doing a weekly podcast over the past year. We make each other laugh as we talk about life, family and changes that need to be made in our hearts. Find “Fresh Catch” on iTunes or listen to our show at: http://bit.ly/frEsh0
Finally…if you want to book David for your next event, just send us an e-mail and someone will get back to you within a day. Contact us at laugh@davidpdean.com
See ya on the road…

Looking forward to some great comedy events that I have booked for this weekend. If you happen to live in the area for any of these dates, I hope you will be able to bring your family and friends and enjoy a night of clean, family-friendly comedy.
This Friday, March 25th, I will be working with my good friend and VERY funny guy, John Branyan. We’ll be doing a Laugh All Night comedy concert at Christ’s Church at Mason, 5165 Western Row Road, Mason, Ohio. 7:30pm showtime.
Saturday, March 26, I’m working locally. I don’t do many of these but I’m looking forward to doing another Laugh All Night comedy concert at Life Church, 900 East State Street, Huntington, IN. 7:00pm showtime.
The weekend wraps up Sunday night, March 27th, doing a community wide comedy concert for Bethlehem Lutheran Church. The show will be held at Sylvan High School, 504 W 4th St, Sylvan Grove, Kansas. 7pm showtime.
If you love to laugh…and you want it clean…I hope to see you at one of the shows this weekend. I’ll save a seat in the front row for ya!

How many times have you said that to yourself? Or, “This feels awkward.” “I might be in the wrong place.” “Am I wearing the right clothes?”
These are comments I hear from people across the country when I speak at a church. I had those same feelings early in my faith walk and can sympathize with my friends who have not sat in a pew for a very long time…if ever. Over the years, I’ve never felt more comfortable than I do in God’s house. That goes for whether I’m the guest speaker, or just a guest.
Last November, however, my life took a strange turn. Our family joined the local YMCA. It’s a beautiful facility with state of the art equipment. I write “state of the art” because thats what the staff tell me. Honestly, I wouldn’t know the latest, greatest equipment if it was sitting on my chest. And that’s usually where it it since I can’t lift it.
The first few months attending the Y, I knew exactly how my “un-churched” friends felt. I’m sure I said a lot of the things they had been thinking all these years as they avoided church. “What am I doing here?” “I’m the most out-of-shape guy in the building.” “Please don’t notice me.”
This Sunday, March 20th, I have the chance to speak at Life Church, here in my hometown of Huntington, IN. I’ll be talking about reasons we don’t “fit in”…at church…and the Y. You’ll laugh, you’ll think and maybe you’ll want to return.
I’ll save a seat for ya in the front row.
