Family cookout today
I love hosting large family gatherings here at our house. I also enjoy being in charge of cooking, grilling and however else I can prepare the food. So here is what is being consumed at the Dean Diner today:
Salmon on the grill. Place on foil with a shot of balsamic vinegar and lemon pepper seasoning. Serve with a topping of home made pi-co de gallo. (Made with small cut tomatoes, yellow onion, cilantro and a dash of E.V.O.O.)
Stir fry: yellow zucchini, mushrooms, stoplight colored peppers, green beans, carrots, small red potatoes and asparagus. Give them a little drink of liquid smoke for fun!
Thin sliced pork chops: I marinaded them overnight in zesty italian dressing mixed with E.V.O.O. and Dales Steak Seasoning.
Gotta go start the grill!
