I did a Laugh All Night comedy concert Saturday night at Pinewood Presbyterian Church in Middleburg, Florida. It was a riot! The crowd was energetic and the church staff was so kind and friendly….the kind of church I would attend if I lived in the area.
The show is designed for the whole family and since there were so many kids in attendance, most sat down near the front. As the show came to a close…I noticed that a lot of them had begun to creep toward the stage and created a little people mosh pit! Then, in this amazing God moment, I invited them to come join me on the steps so I could briefly remind them what Christmas was all about. Finally, we all bowed our heads and closed our eyes and thanked God for His kindness.
I am so thankful for this picture. For the time I shared with families that night. For the few sweet moments I was blessed to share with the kids. I choked up as I prayed thanking God that he sent a child…HIS child (like the ones that were sitting around me on stage that night)..into the world. That is why we laugh, love and celebrate Christmas.
